Chromcraft Expands Its Horizon: Introducing the Newport Collection for McKenzie & Co. Outdoor
Chromcraft, a respected player in the world of whole-home furnishings, has a rich history of pushing the envelope when it comes to introducing innovative product offerings. From the iconic Sculpta chair, which graced the futuristic sets of the 1960s Star Trek series, to dining sets that found homes in diverse destinations such as Australia, South Africa, and Israel, the company has consistently ventured into new territory. This tradition continues with the introduction of its latest expansion, timed perfectly for the High Point Market: the Newport collection for McKenzie & Co. Outdoor.
According to David Urbanick, Chromcraft's Vice President, "We've been diligently working on this project for quite some time. Building upon the success of our McKenzie & Co. Modular Seating line for indoor spaces, we are introducing modular seating for outdoor use."
The inaugural McKenzie & Co. Outdoor collection offers an impressive range of 15 distinct SKUs and is set to ship in late December. The Armless Modular chair, a standout piece in the collection, is priced between $599 and $699. Noteworthy features of this collection include Chromcraft's patented "Comfort Flexx" spring back, innovative "Attachables" arms, and table options seamlessly integrated into the seating. The collection also boasts sturdy aluminum frames and structures, available in three captivating powder coat finishes: Coal Black, Anthracite Gray, and Cloud White, alongside the use of Culp's Outdoor LiveSmart fabrics, designed to combine style and durability.
Urbanick highlighted the shifting consumer preferences and how the collection aligns seamlessly with current trends: "In today's world, more and more individuals prioritize their well-being and surroundings, including their outdoor spaces. People are spending an increasing amount of time outdoors and are committed to making these spaces not only more inviting but also stylish and enjoyable."
He further noted, "Expanding upon the success of our indoor Modular program, which already encompasses three remarkable collections, this foray into outdoor seating represents a natural progression for our business. The rapid growth we are witnessing directly correlates with the growing demand from consumers for flexible seating options within their homes. Our modular seating, with its limitless configurability, perfectly meets this burgeoning need."
